Effect of the Shape of the Trajectory on AGV Energy Consumption and Travelling Time
Energy consumption by AGV (automated guided vehicle) depends on many factors. The effect
of the shape of the AGV trajectory on energy consumption is considered in this paper.
This trajectory consists of straight lines and curves. For given AGV trajectory speed
and its schedule is limited by kinematics and dynamic property especially during motion
along curvilinear trajectory. Computer simulation is the best method of this property
investigation, so it has been carried out. Description of simulation and some chosen
results are presented in this paper.
